Our story

My partner and I moved to Colorado in June of 2016, and when he proposed in the Colorado mountains, we knew our wedding would be the perfect opportunity for our family and friends to see why we came to this beautiful state!

We only had a few criteria for our venue: gorgeous views, on-site lodging options, and something that wouldn't break the bank. Finally, after plenty of searching, we stumbled upon Windy Point Campground in Dillon, CO.

The Forest-side held a hilltop for the ceremony (seen above) that was absolutely stunning, while the Lake-side provided a pavilion that offered protection from the elements for the reception. As a campground, loved ones could stay at the location with us in either RVs or tents, and when we found out we could rent both sides for less than $600/night, it felt like a miracle. Windy Point fit all of our needs, and several of our wants!

By renting both sides of the campground, we found we were able to lock the entry gate for a completely private wedding. We were also able to rent multiple days in a row which allowed us time to set up decorations, and give families extra time to get to know each other. Finally, there were NO vendor restrictions!

With Windy Point being a completely blank canvas (and with my partner and I being very crafty people) we took it upon ourselves to do a completely DIY wedding! It took many visits and lots of measuring, but eventually, we had everything we needed designed to the exact specifications of the campground. However, it wasn't until after our wedding we truly realized what a gem we had found and thought:

"Why not share what we found with others, too?"

From there, things have blossomed! Since August of 2022, my partner and I have serviced nearly 20 weddings at Windy Point Campground and expanded our glamping services all over Colorado. We discovered that we absolutely love helping other couples' wedding day dreams come true, and we hope we can one day help you, too!
